Microstructure Characterization and Hardening Evaluation of Ferrite/Martensitic Steels Induced by He2+ Irradiation

چکیده
Two ferrite/martensitic (F/M) steels with different Si concentrations (0 and 0.4 wt.%) were irradiated by 250 keV He2+ ions fluences of 2 × 1016 ions/cm2 1 1017 ions/cm2. Transmission electron microscopy a nanoindenter employed to investigate their microstructure evolution irradiation hardening effects induced high-energy ions. A large number He bubbles formed in the Si-free Si-containing F/M steels, which preferentially nucleated grew at lath phase boundaries. Owing inhibiting effect addition on bubble growth, sample exhibited smaller size higher density same fluence. Nanoindenter measurement revealed that typical was observed steel, 1/2<111> <100> type dislocation loops recognized as dominant mechanism. The an increase loops, leading exacerbation hardening, results are basically agreement theoretical analysis based dispersion barrier (DBH) Friedel–Kroupa–Hirsch (FKH) models.

Neural-Network Analysis of Irradiation Hardening in Low-Activation Steels
An artificial neural network has been used to model the irradiation hardening of lowactivation ferritic/martensitic steels. The data used to create the model span a range of displacement damage of 0 90 dpa, within a temperature range of 273 973 K and contain 1800 points. The trained model has been able to capture the non-linear dependence of yield strength on the chemical composition and irradi...

the purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationship between fear of negative evaluation (fne) and communication strategies (css) among iranian efl learners. it was aimed to examine the differences in the use of communication strategies between speakers with high or low degree of fear of negative evaluation. the current study was a case study consisting of 10 english learners at...
Duplex Hardening of Steels for Aeroengine Bearings
Duplex hardening is a process in which conventional heat-treatments such as secondary or case hardening are followed up by surface nitriding to achieve exceptional properties, particularly in the context of aeroengine bearings. Hardness values in excess of 1 000 HV can in principle be achieved, and although the hardness decreases as a function of depth below the surface, some level of enhanceme...
متن کاملMicrostructure and cleavage in lath martensitic steels
In this paper we discuss the microstructure of lath martensitic steels and the mechanisms by which it controls cleavage fracture. The specific experimental example is a 9Ni (9 wt% Ni) steel annealed to have a large prior austenite grain size, then examined and tested in the as-quenched condition to produce a relatively coarse lath martensite. The microstructure is shown to approximate the recen...
